"IL QUARTETTO POCI"

Violinists Savitri Grier and Olivier Robin, violist Shira Majoni and cellist Alexander Kovalev were extremely excited to debut as the “Quartetto Poci” here. All four musicians enjoy rich and versatile careers, performing as members of orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony, Staatskapelle Berlin, Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Berlin and Munich Philharmonics, and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Chamber music is an essential part of their musical life, and Savitri, Olivier, Shira and Alexander enjoyed playing together in various combinations at festivals such as Krzyzowa Music (Poland), IMS Prussia Cove (England), and in various concerts in Germany. United by a friendship based on a shared passion for chamber music, good food and wine, and consolidated by having lived as neighbors in Berlin, the quartet is highly international, having English, French, Israeli, Italian, Georgian, Indian and Russian family backgrounds.
